Optional AI Agreement Parsing
To simplify receipt generation, the extension offers an optional AI-powered rental agreement parsing feature.
This feature is entirely optional.
If you decide to use it, you provide your own API key for a supported AI service such as OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, or xAI. Your API key is stored locally on your device and is never sent to us.
When you initiate AI parsing:
Your browser sends the rental agreement directly to the AI provider you selected.
The request goes directly to the provider's official API endpoint.
We do not proxy, intercept, log, or store the request.
The processing of your agreement is governed by the privacy policy and data handling practices of the AI provider you choose.
Complete Control Over Your Data
Since all data resides on your own device, you remain in full control.
Whenever you want, you can:
Delete all saved information using the Reset All option.
Remove saved profiles.
Clear stored signatures.
Uninstall the extension, which removes its associated local storage data from your browser.
There are no accounts to delete and no requests that need to be sent to us because your data never leaves your device.
Minimal Permissions
Rent Receipt Generator follows the principle of least privilege by requesting only the permissions necessary to perform its intended functions.
The extension uses:

Host permissions for supported AI providers — only to enable direct communication with official AI APIs when you choose to use the optional agreement parsing feature.
